Yeah, that thought kept bothering me. Maybe with a foot of flowing airspace under it, and 12" centers, it'll be OK? I kept looking it up, but usually when I did actually find a relevant result, they didn't say how they remedied it. If it were anything other than a small shed, I would remove that part.
