I found a 300w equivalent cfl bulb. I took off the globe on our two bulb fixture, removed both bulbs and screwed in the big cfl. Wow! It's an ugly setup but really fixed things in our big closet (12' high ceiling). I can tell black from navy blue now.

We did get several estimates a couple of years ago to have a studio built at the back of the house off the master bedroom. That way I could have 3 walls of glass with southern exposure. They were all $24,000 (+-) and there is no way we would recoup that money since our home is now valued less than we originally paid. After our farm sold we only had two weeks to find a new home. Was Christmas week and nothing on the market so we settled, temporarily, for a nice home in town with owners that could close in that time frame. Too late, too smart.
