A point I didn't notice till we moved in is that since the windows are high you can't see out unless you're standing up. We get plenty of light when the sun is out, but these last few rainy, gray days, it's depressing, feels like we are in a cave. We've talked about replacing the windows with as large as we can put in, unfortunately because of the lower roofline, they can only come down maybe 6" Surely there is a way to cut into the roofline so we could put regular windows in? They would have to come down at least 15+" to make a difference.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how this can be done? Something like basement wells but that would continue out? The current windows are about 48".
