thanks Dale...  we will be replacing as much as we possibly can and I will provide pictures and more detail when we get to this job.

We are thinking that we should wait until spring just in case we run into some unforseen problem.

I would be hesitant to add pressure to the present piping system.  I suspect you tank is water logged and needs an air bubble restored, but your piping really needs to be replaced.  Running PEX yourself is a very doable project if you will follow the directions and the crimping tool is quite affordable.

​I took pictures today of the pressure tank...the water filter that has no filter in it because my ex son in law removed the filter a few years ago... and a couple pictures of a few other things. Pretty sure all of you will agree that we need to replace the pressure tank and the old galvanized piping.
