[DIY] Update on Barn [1 Attachment]

[Attachment(s) from oakridgefarm@gmail.com included below]

The up-flush plumbing system in completed.  Takes a lot more room than I anticipated but seems to be working well.  Right now the upstairs half-bath is the only thing on it, but the new laundry room will be connected as soon as the appliances are delivered.  The old washing machine as well as the new dishwasher will continue to empty directly into the original plumbing.  The recirculating hot water system is in and working but not using it till a new plug is installed, hopefully today.  We've had several delays since the handyman, electrician and plumbers are all working in the same areas and occasionally something has to wait.

The Toto-Drake toilet is stylish, quiet and efficient.  We had larger pipes installed to handle another full bath upstairs but wasn't expecting them to be as big as they are. Fortunately we were able to conceal most of it in the ceiling joists and had an enclosed area under the stairs, 3' by about 8' that provided an out of sight space for the large equipment. Everything goes to the macerater then empties into the original plumbing and out to the septic tank.

Along with normal insulation we had heat tape installed on the pipes in the open areas.  We have the option of using it only when necessary.  It has been an expensive project but allowed us to have an upstairs bath immediately plus a second, full bath installed when we're ready.  Also the new washer/dryer will be installed in the room I originally wanted without tearing up any concrete or doing anything other than installing the new hookup and 220 plug.  It gives me a large laundry room with sink and plenty of cabinet space.  A plus is that we are leaving the old washer/dryer where they were installed, at the front of the barn, to do heavy/dirty items keeping them out of my new washer.

We could have done it cheaper but opted to go all the way at one time instead of adding on piecemeal as we needed it.  I'll send some pictures once the guys are all done and out of the way.
