I fear your problem is in the piping, not the tank. Sediment will build up in galvanized piping and clog it up like cholesterol in a human blood vessel. There is no way to clean it out, either. I have seen a mere pinhole size
opening in a 1/2" pipe inside before. Pex, PVC, or copper pipe is slick inside and does not have this problem.
