RE: [DIY] Eaves

Make sure the gutters are cleaned  and, if possible, put some gutter guards on them.  Make sur ethe downspouts are clear of debris.

Subject: [DIY] Eaves

Checked all my eaves and discovered that while there does seem to be metal over the fascia-good, and the gutters are sloped mostly, the roofer did seem to do a good job with the drip edge it comes down about an inch from roof edge (shingles are short but over drip), BUT, the gutters are lower than the drip in most cases, hence overflow behind gutter reaching foundation. The gutters were done years ago, the roof was redone more recently and no one considered the gap between the gutter and drip as defeating the purpose of the drip, while I do see the drip still plays a decent role. Whats the best way to handle this? Winter coming.
