[DIY] Re: Mice exclusion

I hesitated to post this, but that is exactly what we did. I tried every kind of trap made, except glue traps. The mice would take the bait and waltz away. I eventually threw a couple of poison bait blocks up in our crawl space for the mice that were up there. It smelled for about a week and a half, gradually growing fainter. At no point was the smell eye wateringly bad, but yes, it did smell.

Then a few months later I got mice again, in my kitchen. I would go in there in the morning and have to sterilize my counter tops end to end. Traps did not work. Someone told me "get a cat" and since I have children who wanted a pet, that's what I did. I have had no mice since.

And for the record, my house does not smell like cat.
