I just want to say thanks for the excellent responses.
We had already pretty much narrowed it down to the
sensor in the control, but wired's logic was impeccable
and reassured us that we were on target. Lee's video
link shocked us in its accuracy. It was basically the
same washing machine, and showed how to do the
job in just a few minutes. When we read subprongs
post about the loose sensor tube, we got so excited
that, late at light, we still rushed downstairs to take
the thing apart and see if the tube was off, since we
had brought the washer 30 miles, on its side, in the
back of the little SUV and then (gently) bounced it
down the stairs, to set it up. Unfortunately, that was
not the issue. It looks like a new control is needed.
Thanks so much. I share my knowledge in Yahoo
Group virtually every day, and hope that it is useful.
But, on the rare occasion, like this, when it is me
who is asking for advice, it feels good to know that
this whole sharing knowledge thing works this well.
Thanks again..
