I've always been curious how CL generates revenue. I never see ads. Is it like an ebay thing where there are seller fees?
I was the one that planted that seed in Rich's fears. My reasoning was that most every website that popped up that did specialty searches on CL, disappeared. I don't know if CL had any dealing in that. I know Google doesn't allow scripts to do searches on their site, they actively block scripted searches and its in their use terms that scripted searches are strictly not allowed. I haven't looked at CL use terms. I only know about Google's because they stopped me from doing scripted searches on another program I was writing.
Actually running this app from your own computers is better than running it from Yahoo's site. When it comes from Yahoo's site, the referrer is shown to be Yahoo. That means that CL is seeing a lot of hits from Yahoo, whereas if it comes from everybody's own computers, there is no referrer, it's just a random hit. That type of hit is harder to stop. CL ought to like it because it will give them a lot more successful sales.
I've been using it for the past 2 years and never had any problems other than buyer beware, so I don't think there should be too many fears that CL might block it. Just try not to be abusive with it.

Maybe the best thing is to do is to run it from this list's file folder only?
