Re: [DIY] Touch On Faucet

Hi Aki,

The battery pack is stored under the sink, where all of the electrical connections are made.

These faucets are a bit expensive; about double the cost of an equivalent quality standard faucet. My previous faucet took a beating between the frequent handwashing and dog paw cleaning. Even though I use a hose end sprayer to remove the garden dirt from my hands while I'm still outside, there is plenty of mess made after soaping up in the house. In spring, I hold squirmy dogs above a bucket in the sink to spray the mud from in between their toes (pads). So, I'm hoping to eliminate the dripping soap scum and dirty water from layering on the fixture and from pooling all over the sink deck. The idea is to reduce daily maintenance. My motto: "We'll See".

P.S.: I got mine on a 20% off sale, but the other faucets were 20% off, too, so I still paid about double.

Great suggestions from everyone about how to cushion the back while under the sink. Can't believe I didn't think of one of those myself; I just do it the way I always saw my Dad do it. A little surprising that he never used any cushioning himself, now that I think about it.

I had an "I Love Lucy" moment when I tried to fold 5'8" of girl into the cabinet opening under the sink in a crouching position (trying to avoid laying down over the toe kick). Got wedged in there, and got myself out somehow, too.
