I agree there too, the soda fountain in our old drug store was an amazing place when I was young, all the things they could make like a cheery lime phosphate,,,,miss those soda fountains

I was talking about the old drug store fountains, which only exist in museums now.  I'm just sure that the syrup they were using 65-70 years ago was different than what we are getting at the automated "fountains" of today.  I seem to recall that they changed formulas so as not to conflict with the lining of the cans that are being used now.  Oh well, everything has changed and the younger generation will never know the difference.
