[DIY] Re: Shelves

I guess you are entitled to resent whatever you wish..it would be more
polite to just state your case without all the resentment...BTW,when
folks feel resentment I find it is usually because there is a very weak case
they are trying to present.

To answer your question about the plans, there are two things..1- 3d printing
and you do not need plans just a data file and 2- how can you say most
people print what they find..I HAVE a PhD in engineering sciences and
most everyone I know are printless and we use plans from the computer and
put key dimensions on a 2x4 scrap! Unless you have an NSA link to find out
what pips are doing! LOL

So I still state, factually, that libraries are antiquated for the DIYer when
almost everyone has a smart device they can use next to their laser
guided chop saw or mitre box! I also work for H4H and we do not use
the library or printed plans per se except those the State requires.

I resent your remarks.  A library is still a free useful source of information

for someone.  What do you do when you finally find you plans on the internet?  Most people print what they find.  A book doesn't have dead batteries and can be carried to the workshop to consult my compute is a long way from my shop.  BTW I am a blacksmith, Shoot and build Flintlocks and am still fairly technologically literate.  I fact am currently working on a PHD in History at Trinity College Dublin.  Where I spend many hours a day reading real and virtual books.s
