Yes Frank, it will do all of these things and much more, but if you are not proficient and very careful a table saw will also remove fingers and thumbs with equal ease and proficiency.  Bigger is also better at all of these tasks intended and unintended.  Knowledge is no guarantee you won't have an accident, a local contractor and custom furniture maker who was among the very best managed to remove two fingers after over 50 years of accident free years.  I really hesitate to give the go-ahead to someone who phrased the question as you just did and that is in no way intended to be a put down.
