that's exactly the way I've done it.  Flooring should always go in last.  Don't have to worry about messing up the carpeting or new flooring with paint

that way.

Pull out old quarter round molding, paint walls, ceiling and baseboards, carpet, paint new quarter round molding and install it.

Have to do over an entire room.  What is the correct order?  Carpet first, then paint - or paint first, then carpet.  I'm torn - anyone know?
