[DIY] Major overhaul of a foundation and rotten brick veneer:

Good Day everyone.
I have been asked to assist in a major overhaul of a 1946 house, where the poured concreet foundation will need to be dug up and sealed against minor leaching and leaking. This is actually the easy part, it is in sand and the sewer line (original clay tile) will need replacing too.

yet another serious problem is:

The exterior brick veneer is faulty. It has been inspected by various contractors and the consensus is that the brick was originally underfired, and if it had been adressed 5-10 years ago, it could have been sealed and saved, but it is too far gone in too meny places to be anything other then a nightmare of chasing out faults forever...
therefore the perscription is to remove all the brick and take the oportunity to insulate and update windows, nice new modern siding etc...

The Question then: when the house is trenched, the basement sealed and probably insulated (the property is in a far Northern climate) can the brick veneer be dumped into the hole, convienienty located all arround the foundation and topped off???
This would be alot easier then carting brick away (there is a convienient and significant hill in the back yard, which is the other possible dump site.) but, of course, just dropping the brick into the open hole would be so easy. Would it cause problems with the new basement work, drainage tile, etc?? are there issues that make this simple solution in-advisable?
i contemplate there may be settling issues, but the house would not be a fix and flip... it is being considered for a retirement property and would likely remain in the family for quite a few years; so the settling could be adressed with top off soil and any replacement sidewalks etc could be done some years in the future.

Thank You!
