[DIY] Re: Major overhaul of a foundation and rotten brick veneer:

 

Sounds practical. Some additional thoughts. After the foundation is waterproofed protect it with foam board or the waffled plastic. Lay the drain tubing and cover it well with gravel and filter cloth. Then when putting int the rubble stop and add a layer of dirt every few inches that should lessen the setteling some a good spray of watr will help mover the dirt is the rubble and this might help with future setteling. If you are in an area that is inspected run it by them first.

> The Question then: when the house is trenched, the basement sealed and probably insulated (the property is in a far Northern climate) can the brick veneer be dumped into the hole, convienienty located all arround the foundation and topped off???
