I am concerned about the slope under my deck. I will have to make an opening- either w/ existed less traffic boards, or with the stairwell. The question is do I need to make a permanent access opening or ventilation w/screening? The treated wood boards are nearly fused by debris- of course water still must get down. The deck is not sloped so I dont believe it helps carry water away from foundation as an inspector claimed. If not permanent then It seems easier to just cut a temporary opening and seal up w/ new boards.
