I finally broke out the oil fired salamander heater and at 150,000 BTU I had the shop up to working temp in about 15 minutes. Just parked it outside and let the heat blow in through the open door, thus reducing the fumes. Now maybe I can get a morning start and do something. Once warm the furnace can pick up the slack and perhaps not do such great damage to the gas bill. Ehen I was doing some custom work I had put another gas meter in the line to the shop and guess perhaps I should take a reading tomorrow so I can get some idea of how much I hurt the budget.
