While there are still fabric stores. They are a far
cry from what I remember.
Most seem to cater to the quilting and crafting crowd.
So there is a huge selection of lightweight cotton
in all colors or patterns to get just the right selection
for a quilt.
But the choices for other garments, heavier weight for pants,
jackets, etc are extremely limited. Maybe a selection
of hideous plastic based fabrics, that are ugly to start with,
and horrible to work with, (but cheap).
And don't even get me started on the lack of good wool fabric.

Just too depressing to go into most fabric stores,
at least for me.

Might have to save up for a trip to Britex.
Or head over to Seattle Fabric.
