You spoke my words exactly. This site encourages people to do their own work; the only difference between a professional and a non-professional is that the pro knows short cuts and can do the job quicker... and they may not have to spend an hour on U-Tube for some of the steps involved. There is so much satisfaction in doing your own projects EXACTLY the way you want it with no compromises. Much helpful information comes through this site and I love that people are so generous to share their experience and knowledge and take the time to help others.

We couldn't afford to pay people to do what we do ourselves and the benefit of the learning is the icing on the cake.

This is one of my most read groups. I thank the ones who are encouraging and provide this service.

Based on information gleaned from previous posts, I guess you to be about my Dad's age. Dad has been gone for six years now, so I read about your activity level and zest for life with a bit of wistfulness for what might have been. It's good to know that your health, knowledge, and inclination for participation in real life are all working together to allow you to be able to do whatever you want. I know people in their '50's who are limited by failure in their bodies, and they just wish they could get out and rake or shovel the driveway. So, do whatever you're going to do. - We'll be well moderated however you decide to accomplish that.
