Re: [DIY] New Roof HVAC== Help please

When I built my house 5 years ago I installed a heat pump.  Living in northwest WI it works well.  It works until about 15-20 degrees.  When it was installed the company had just installed a few.  It seems like you either pay for the electricity to run it or the propane as the backup.  Its fine if the price of propane is high.  But the price of electricity is not going down.  Either way, we pay.

This brings up the question as to how to/why we cannot see the profile of members on this group. Some yahoo groups have a "members" listing which take you to their profile. As most do not say where they are, it has a bearing on answering environmental topics such as using a heat pump A/C.
So, Rich and Kate, are you in an area where heat pumps work well?
