Re: [DIY] Washer/dryer

Well, there goes your motto, shot to heck... LMAO!
Yeah.. In the manual also, and this will affect 10% of you
who install one, it will somewhat detail the limit to the type
& length of vent you may have.
Smooth and pipe-type
elbows, beat they super flexible kind, a LOT. Sometimes
the limit is 75 feet, but more commonly it will be 20 ft, or
10 ft and 1 elbow. Not flex... elbow. And level or minimal
slope. AND you are to clean these, usually at least annually.
Real fun. Few do it. But it is REALLY needed with the
flexible type!!!

Curiously, there is an unvented dryer. It dumps the heat
right back into the house, capturing the water, which then,
you must drain off, or dump a tray. Sound neat? The moisture
trap is not super efficient however, so a 1 hr load may take
1 1/2 hours.
But now and then there will be an install that
does not allow a vent. There are also rectangular vents
that can be put into a standard 3 1/2" wall, with zero room
between the dryer & wall. Rarely needed.
