[DIY] Re: Higher octane gas for lawn equipment

 

It will be fine to use 89 in the trimmer, check the gas/oil mix ratio
for each, you should be able to use the same 2 stroke gas for both. I
assume the mower is a 4 stroke, if so, you can use either 87 or 89.

Thank you for the replies. I'm going to use 89 on the blower since it
specifically mentions it (and since I do hear considerable knocking with
87). Any thought on using 89 for the mower and trimmer? The manuals do
not specify an octane for those two. If it's not going to hurt anything
(or even potentially help a bit) than I don't mind getting the same fuel.
However I don't want to break what isn't broken.
