[DIY] Windshield leaking

 

I would clean the spot well, and use clear silicone under the lip of
the gasket. Your mechanic probably was referring to weatherstrip
adhesive, which may be yellow or black, the clear won't show as much.
Parts stores should carry weatherstrip adhesive tho. Doug

Windshield leaking

My windshield leaks near the rear view mirror. My mechanic said there
is some sort of adhesive specially made for adhering windshields.
Does anyone know where to get it and also exactly how to do it? My
mechanic said it is more of a body work thing and he does not do it.
The car part place does not sell it.
