How old are the batteries you put in? Just because they aren't in use doesn't mean that they are still good. Also, it could be that you need Alkaline batteries. If that doesn't work, you might consider a new thermostat.

The numbers on my digital battery t-stat are fading. I replaced batteries AAA to no avail. What is happening? I cant pull off wall easily. Im assume its not connected to wires in wall.
