[DIY] Re: Work light

Bill,

I took your advise and cleaned the piece in the center of the socket and raised the tab up. It has rivets holding the socket to the wires but it seems to be no way to open to the wires underneath the socket unless I take a utility knife to go along the crease. Maybe it is not worth fixing. There does not seem to be any corrosion. When I put a bulb in, the light will not go on. However, if I unloosen the bulb a little, it will go on for a second but will not stay on. I twist it slightly in this area back and forth but it will not stay on more than a second in any position but just flicker.

Thanks,
GB
