[DIY] Re: anyone installed a tankless on your own?

 

There are a lots to consider with a tankless. Yes, you can tap into the hot and cold water line anywhere that the same size pipe exists. That is to say not to tap into a 1/2" branch line to feed the entire system.
As to the gas line, you need a larger gas line than 1/2".
The vent pipe has to be stainless steel, not standard pipe.
