Yes we did clean the filter and we also pulled from window and cleaned the coils over the weekend.
have you cleaned the filter lately? dirty filters keep the unit from working efficiently and make the unit work harder to do less

We have a Frigidare window unit. 25000BTU and 6yrs old. Now we live in
Louisiana closer to the Gulf of Mexico and we have been hitting 99 degrees
just about every day. Very hot, hot, hot!! When the compressor kicks in
seems like air is only cool instead of cold, but right now it just kicked in
and is cold like it should. Right now it is only 90 degrees but I know
later in the day around 5 ish is when it will start acting up. Any comments
as to what could be wrong?
