Re: [DIY] Window glazing.

If you wait a couple of weeks, then paint over the glaze there will be less likelihood of dissolving the glazing compound when you wash them. You'll need to be careful around the glaze, even painted for awhile. I don't think it thoroughly hardens quickly. Dried paint will protect it and seal it though. Paint over the glaze to contact the window. Anything, paint or glaze can be removed from the glass with a fresh razor blade. Just be careful not to ding the glaze or break the paints seal to the glass. After a few months the glaze and paint should be hard.

Can someone tell me when I can wash a freshly glazed sash window with

Having just had a window pane replaced, which meant reglazing...they said to
wait a couple weeks before washing, otherwise hitting the glaze with a
finger could dent it, and it'd leave a greasy mess. I'll be waiting well
into September before washing my window(s).
