You might want to consider a suburban or similar vehicle. Having said that, they come in many different configurations and you might want to start by visiting with your local "to be trusted" automotive dealer. Some of these are build on a pick-up frame and some may not be. Just be aware that your gas mileage will go out the window.

We've had 2 Chrysler Town & Country vans & LOVE the vehicle, it's comfort, reasonable price, etc. My husband has pulled a utility vehicle behind it even tho' it has been our main family vehicle. It has been a way for him to get his riding mower to & from the mechanic, haul the mower & other equipment to do some landscaping jobs, hauled furniture, just what ever needed hauling. NOW, we would like to entertain the idea of a vehicle w/more pulling capacity. In the upcoming transitioning years (now that we're "empty nesters") we want to buy some storage trailers to ease us into the sale of our existing home & the purchase of wherever we go from here. It seems to us to be a good idea to buy used, enclosed trailers (at a good price) that we could pull w/our own vehicle. It would make for some sufficient storage, & then be able to sell them when no longer needed, & hopefully not be out much money for storage. (??) We have called about used, enclosed trailers from 8'x16' on up to large 18-wheeler-tractor-trailers. The really large ones would be nice, but might be harder to "place" on our property (just over 1.5 acres), whereas the 8x16 or 20-40-footers wouldn't be as hard to "place"/park, & MIGHT be easier to sell later on than the really big ones. (??) We also hope to buy a camper trailer, nothing too big, but not a pop-up.....one that would at least be large enough for the 2 of us, PLUS our 5 yo & 3 yo grandchildren. So, that's another reason we want something w/more pulling power. Any advice on these related topics would be of great help to us, especially what size truck or SUV to buy & what brands/specifications you recommend, and what the limitations would be for each.
