Thank you. It is an Otis system. I have nothing to do with
maintenance of the building. I'm just hoping to persuade the condo
board that it's worth looking into ways to improve efficiency (making
it so someone who pushes a call button gets one elevator, not both).

Thank you too. If we had this done, both cars could be running at
the same time, responding to different calls, correct? This is what
we want.
Here's an example of what I found in a web search. I know nothing
about this company and it isn't clear what they did, but it sounds
similar to my building's problem, and saving money would appeal to
the board:
