I'm changing out a vanity. The new one has a whole new drain kit. The new drain has the screw off cup
The old drain is a traditional elbow(1947) straight to the wall. Are these things threaded to the galvanized pipe inside the wall?
Before I take a pipe wrench to it , I want to make sure there are no surprises. This elbow flanges out at the tile wall.
It seems similar to the water spout in a tub.
As soon as Im able to access the Photos section, I'll post pictures of the project so far.
The floor is being torn up, the tile wall - wainscoated with Beadboard. The tub was just refinished to epoxy spray.
