I would think the Electro plated may be, because of the plating process, but the dipping may leave a heavier coating, If it is scraped of, Obviously the metal will be less protected, but the sell a producd whic is cold galvanize which is in a spray can, for touch up. Tehy do make other types of outdoor fasteners you could look into, just depends on what your fastening.
